Why consider Integrated and Alternative Medicine?

Heal the body from the inside out by utilizing Integrated and alternative therapy to heal and repair the body from the inside.  Integrated and Alternative medicine is a form of special medicine to replace and restore damaged tissues inside the body.  Your own healing properties may be injected into areas of damaged tissue such as joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons which helps reduce inflammation and pain and improve function.   In addition good nutrition, special therapy modalities and other therapies may be recommended to get optimal results.  If you're suffering from osteoarthritis or chronic pain in your neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, sciatica, or Peripheral Neuropathy, give Oregon Medical Centers a call.

How does Alternative & Integrated Medicine work?

Alternative and Integrated Medicine works in two ways. After these healing injections are injected into the areas of damaged tissue, your body stimulates healing and replaces the damaged tissues into healthy tissue.  This facilitates healing and repair.  Secondly, you are able to "kick-start" your body into healing itself.  Just like you cut yourself and your body heals itself after the cut, the same way, these injections "kick-start" the healing process of the damaged tissue.

When tissue is damaged, it becomes inflamed as it tries to repair itself. However, some disease processes and injuries cause chronic inflammation and prevent the tissue from healing which causes ongoing discomfort or pain. This special treatment brings new healthy cells to the area which decreases inflammation, repairs damaged tissue, restores function, and relieves discomfort.

We also utilize good nutrition and home therapy.  We become what we eat.  If we eat healthy food that is nutritious, we will be healthy.  If we eat toxic & highly processed food, we won't be as healthy.  We utilize a multi-modal approach to alternative and integrated medicine with special modalities, including good nutrition, home therapy and special injection therapy based on patient's clinical condition.

What can you expect when getting regenerative treatment?

First of all, your doctor will examine you and assess where you’re having pain or discomfort and what may be causing it. If your doctor thinks you would benefit from alternative and integrated therapy, they may recommend this special treatment for the damaged area and explain how this treatment works.  This Alternative Medicine treatment will also include good nutrition, home care as well as other modalities.  It is a multi-modal approach to help our patients get the best results.

Most people are able to resume their normal activities the same day but your healthcare provider will recommend what they think is best for you.
