How Chiropractic can Manage Sciatica

We've treated a lot of women and men in our Beaverton, OR office who are hurting from sciatica, and it's a problem that can result in tremendous agony and difficulties. The good news is that you don't have to endure this, because chiropractic care is an excellent way to get you out of pain.

The sciatic nerve is one of the major nerves in your body, and extends from your spine, through your pelvis, and down the back of your leg. Because this significant nerve travels through so many compact openings, it's prone to being aggravated or pinched.

In some cases sciatic pain originates in the lower back where the nerves leave the spinal column; from time to time the nerve can be irritated from the piriformis muscle in the pelvis.

One of the first things Dr. Bhasin will do is conduct a careful examination that will help point to the actual root cause of your problems. This might not even be precisely where you're feeling symptoms, as the nerve can be compressed much higher up in your body than where you're feeling the pain or numbness.

Once we've found the start of your issues, we'll be able to start working towards recovering the normal function of your spine and sciatic nerve. Removing restrictions or pressure on the nerve will then relieve the symptoms.

Our office is conveniently located in Beaverton, OR and we are currently accepting new patients. Give our office a call today at (503) 642-2845 and we'll get you an appointment as soon as possible.
