Chronic Pain and Vitamin D

A recent study from researchers in California looked at one tiny dimension of this connection by studying the blood serum concentrations of vitamin D in people with pain who were getting treatment at an acute rehab center.

The researchers took blood samples from 414 patients and assessed each of them for general musculoskeletal pain. The report discovered that people reporting musculoskeletal pain had significantly lower levels of vitamin D.
